Roi Shternin is a keynote speaker, author of seven books, former paramedic, founder, and advisor on leadership, AI, healthcare, and what remains human in high-pressure systems. Born in Israel, currently based in Vienna, Austria.

He spent nine years as a paramedic before a chronic illness turned him into a patient — an experience that fundamentally changed how he understands what it means to be seen, heard, and humanized within systems that often struggle to do those things.

Since then, he has spoken at 200+ keynotes across 27 countries in English, German, and Hebrew. His clients include Google, PwC, IBM, Dell, Boehringer Ingelheim, Takeda, Novartis, Siemens Healthineers, HIMSS, and TEDx stages from Graz to Shanghai.

His keynotes explore three interconnected themes: the stories that shape organizations and the people inside them; the human layer that cannot be automated in an age of AI; and the experience of being a patient in a system that often mistakes data for care.

Beyond the stage, he advises healthcare, pharma, medtech, AI, and patient experience organizations as a Patient Engagement Advisor (Boehringer Ingelheim), Patient-in-Residence (Ludwig Boltzmann Institute, Sheba Medical Center), and strategic advisor across Europe and the Middle East.
